Credits are how fairness works here
You earn credits by testing other developers' apps and spend them to get your own app tested. List an app for 60 credits, and every number is enforced by our database rules.
Ways to earn
- Welcome bonus+15

- List an app (20 seats)−60
- Your first listing (launch offer)FREE
- Leave a test early−15

Penalties never push your balance below zero.
Limits that keep it fair
- Max 8 active tests at once
- 1 check-in per app per UTC day
- Each app can be joined once
- 3 strikes block new tests
- You can't test your own app
Worked example: one full 14-day test
Credits are front-loaded so a new member can list quickly, then trickle in daily so testers stay for the full two weeks. The large day-14 payout rewards finishing, because Google only counts testers who stay opted in for 14 continuous days.
| Day | Earned | Running total |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1 | +15 | 15 |
| Day 2 | +2 | 17 |
| Day 3 | +2 | 19 |
| Day 4 | +2 | 21 |
| Day 5 | +2 | 23 |
| Day 6 | +2 | 25 |
| Day 7 | +2 | 27 |
| Day 8 | +2 | 29 |
| Day 9 | +2 | 31 |
| Day 10 | +2 | 33 |
| Day 11 | +2 | 35 |
| Day 12 | +2 | 37 |
| Day 13 | +2 | 39 |
| Day 14 | +22 | 61 |
One complete run earns 61 credits, enough to list one app. Testing three apps for the full 14 days earns 183, enough for three listings.
Why credits can't be faked
Your balance lives in Google Firestore and can only change in the same atomic write as a matching ledger entry. The ledger entry ID is deterministic (for example, one per app, per tester, per day), so the same reward can never be claimed twice, and the amount is checked against the rule for that action. Read the details on our verification page.
