Plain language: what we collect, why, and who can see it.

Last updated

What we collect

  • Account data from Firebase Authentication: your email address, and if you use Google sign-in, your name and profile photo.
  • Profile data you enter: display name, Google Play tester email, optional country and bio.
  • Testing activity: apps you join, session start times, daily check-ins, ratings, feedback, bug notes, device descriptions and verification codes you submit.
  • Credit ledger: every credit you earn or spend.
  • App listings you create, including package name, opt-in link and descriptions.
  • Messages you send through the contact form, reports about listings, and emails you leave on the pricing early-access list.

Who can see what

  • Your Google Play tester email, display name, photo, check-in streak and feedback are visible only to the developer of each app you join, so they can add you to their closed test.
  • App listings (name, developer name, description, tester count) are public.
  • Your credit balance and ledger are visible only to you.
  • Site administrators can read contact messages, reports and the early-access list to respond to them.

How we use it

To run the tester exchange: matching testers to apps, verifying check-ins, calculating credits, preventing abuse, and replying to you. We do not sell personal data, and we do not show third-party ads.

Service providers

TestersZone runs on Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Hosting), operated by Google LLC, which processes data on our behalf. Firestore data for this project is stored in Google Cloud's multi-region nam5 (United States) location.

Cookies and local storage

We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. Firebase Authentication stores a session token in your browser so you stay signed in, and we store small preferences (such as whether you marked an app as opted in) in local storage.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. To delete your account and associated personal data, email hello@testerszone.live from your account email. Feedback you already gave to developers may remain in exports they downloaded before deletion.

Children

TestersZone is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and they should not create accounts.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the dashboard.
